Well, besides getting hit by idiot drivers.

Getting soaked commuting because I keep forgetting to pick up some fenders.

DANG IT i keep forgetting to do that... it's been bizarrely warm this month so i'm gonna get caught off guard when winter finally hits. Suggestions for fenders?? Anyone?

I have the most fun riding to/from class.

I saw a bike the other day that someone had duct taped some cardboard on the fork and seatpost for mudguards. That can't be EFFECTIVE at ****ing all.

Blasting out of work late at night (I work at a movie theater) onto a barren Main St. and flying through town not having to worry about cars... That's always so fun because I'm psyched to be out of work and even more psyched to bike home in those conditions...

OR! Going TO work during rush hour / school getting out and weaving through each neighborhood faster than any car could ever hope to go in all that traffic, watching jealous drivers stopped in a gridlocked traffic light... :D

Best part is when a random cute girl comes up to you and makes small talk. Even better when there are a bunch of "brahs" around with fancy clothes, SUVs with rims, popped collars, faux-hawks, etc.

It's the girls, beer, smokes, and cash.

It's the cool stuff you see lying in the street.

Being in great shape and being powerful enough to launch out of traffic at a moment's decision. Being quick enough to dodge what the other more cumbersome modes of travel throw at you.

Basically the feeling of accomplishment from being capable and tough enough to get around on your own rather than hiding inside a heated car
