Hi, All: Another user referred me here when I posed this question on another forum.

So, I have a compact video system that uses a small "lipsitck-style" camera that I like to use on the bike now and then. The camera mounts easily to either the bars for a 'fixed' view or on my helmet, to shoot wherever I am looking. What I would like to figure out is a method of hybridizing those two -- I would like a bar mount with a built in 360-deg swivel of some kind. Best case, it would swivel on more than one plane.

I need something simple and small -- if I can't drop it in a jersey pocket, it's way too big. The swivel needs to be firm enough that it will stay in position under normal bumps and vibration of road, CX and MTB rides, but not so rigid that I can't reach down and adjust the positioning with a simple twist. A semi-rigid base (could conform to various diameter bars) would be ideal, but a small rigid platform on either side of the swivel (as small as .75" X 1.5") would also be workable.

Any ideas or suggestions? ............... THANKS!

If your camera has threading for mounting, you could try a Gorillapod:

I have one, it works great, but I haven't tried it on a bike. Theoretically it would mount to your handlebars by wrapping around them, and still be easily rotated.
