One of my friend/team mates bikes was stolen today. It is pretty unique so please keep an eye out.

please help and pass on to any email lists you can think of.

My very sexy road bike was stolen from in front of the ARC today sometime
between 12:15-12:50. i went to weight lift and came back to find only a cut
lock. (someone was prowling with BIG cutters).

This is a very RARE bike - i've never seen another of it in northern
california

it is a 50cm van dessel Rivet - mostly white and black with some red on the
front fork and rear triangle.
this is a link to what the current version looks like (mine doesn't have the
little red stripes on the downtube, toptube and seat tube)
http://www.vandesselsports.com/images/rivet/rivet_main_large.jpg and i also
attached a photo from during a race.

it has red hoods with white novara bar tape
SRAM force shifters, front and rear derailleur
Shimano dura-ace crank and brakes
look keo black pedals
white specialized toupe saddle
Ritchey carbon WCS seat post

Wheels:
Rear mavic 32 spoke open pro with power tap SL hub
Front 32 spoke with dura ace hub
both have continential gatorskin tires

That SUCKS! I'll keep an eye out.

On a side note... I would never leave a bike with so much bling locked outdoors... anywhere.

I've never seen a Van Dessel in person so it would definitely catch my eye.

I keep reading that as Vin Diesel.

But seriously, bike thieves suck
