I am curious. If you are shopping for new pedals, it seems vendors are very particular to tell you how heavy those pedals are. But I have NEVER seen a weight when looking at shoes. Does that make sense? It would seem to me that the rotating weight of the shoe is at least as important as that of the pedal. Why strive for shaving 10-20 grams from pedal weight when that may be dwarfed by the shoe weight?

I found the same issue after buying Carnac's to replace my old Shimanos. I noticed the shoes felt heavier. When I put them on the kitchen scale, was surprised to find that they weighed 200 gms more....about 800 vs 600 (without cleats).

It does seem hard to find weights of the shoes. When you do see grams advertised, of course you don't know how accurate the weights really are. Agree we tend to ignore the shoe weights when it comes to gram counting.
