I currently have an SS with 27" wheelset, and I am thinking of putting a flip flop hub on it.
But I'm not quite sure on where to start looking for one. I dont really want to spend a lot of money, as I dont have much. I would like to rock like a 16T cog on the fixed side. Is it hard to put the cog on the fixed side of the hub?
Sorry for being such a newb, Im just not too familiar with fixed hubs.

there is a 27" wheel that has a flipflop hub on it. it can be found on ebay occasionally and its not expensive. start looking. my first singlespeed had one because i didnt want to buy a whole new wheelset on my first attempt at a conversion. later, i realized it is worth it.

Get a Formula flip-flop hub and have your LBS use your old rim to make you a new wheel. You'll need new spokes, too. Might be cheaper to buy one online.
Harris cyclery also sells 27"wheels with flip-flops $80 (http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/wheels1.html#630)

I just bought a new wheelset too, dang. I would of gotten a flip flop hub wheel, but i recently wrecked my bike due to spoke detension (putting me in the hospital) and I didn't want to ride one more foot on my old rims.
But good advice, Ill way my options.
