Hey guys and gals, I'm getting a sort a seat/road rash on my underside. :o

I don't wanna stop riding as the MS-150 is just around the corner....

What to do to improve the situation?

Make sure that your seat is adjusted properly.

Use Desitin when you ride. It's in the baby care section of supermarkets and will help with saddle sores as well. Be sure to clean up thoroughly after riding and wash your biking shorts frequently to avoid infection. If they develop into open sores, use a triple antibiotic.

Oh, and as for semantics: road rash is skin ripped off in a crash, saddle sores are sores/rash around your groin like what you have.

get out of your wet stuff sooner than later, make sure you are toweling dry completely after showers.

treat bad rashes with lotrimin AF (yes, the antifungal athletes foot cream) &/or A&D ointment. once it heals up a bit, then use desitin. (desitin is zinc oxide, the white, total skin block that lifeguards put on their noses) >>>you don't necessarily want to seal bad skin, so this the zinc oxide is good for preventing sores or preventing then from getting worse in the beginning stages.
