Hi

for those who have tried both do you find one system any better than the other for improving our Aerobic base.

I've tried the spinervals 16.0 and I do not find the works out too bad.... I'm not able to follow the prescribed gears but I do feel I'm getting a solid work out. and I'm in my Aerobic range

I'm considering picking up more of the DVD's as Xmas gifts so is one system superior?

coach troy is funny and motivating. so I use spinervals.

My CTS gather dust because I cannot stand them.

both are great if you follow the program. all of them have science behind the routines
and get results if you put in the effort.

but CTS is a bore fest and a commercial at how great Chris is.

Coach Troy makes you work hard, suffer, and cheezy music aside, a better workout.

cool I'm gonna see if anyone I know in the local cycling community has some CTS vids.... if so maybe do a swap and see if I like them.

Coach Troy is a charming S.O.B.....or so I think of him as I go into lactic tsunami. Adjusting resistance by altering his gearing recommendations is fine as long as you have your own system that keeps you in the targeted zone. I would get a few other spinervals just to mix it up so things aren't so repetitive and sometimes take some recovery rides watching old 007 flicks, Jackie Chan, whatever. Anyway, CTS stuff are about as much fun as watching a metronome.

You'll make new virtual friends as you watch your ol' video buddies sweating on their trainers and mumbling to themselves as Coach Troy looks over their shoulder at the HRM readout.

I've yet to try any of his virtual road ride videos.
