Hey guys - I have a Dinotte 200L and 140L combination that I bought in their last sale, but I've got a P7 light on the way, and this along with my Surefire's is pretty much going to render the Dinotte pretty much redundant. I do like the look of the Dinotte helmet mount however, and like the cheapie LED light I mounted up there last winter. What I'm wondering is, where the hell do you put the battery pack if you mount the light on your helmet?

If you have the short cord then use the velcro strap, mount it on the back side of your helmet. The weight will help counter the light engine's own weight. You may need to use an additional velcro strap to secure the cord at midpoint.
For the long cord just put it in your jersey pocket.

What bicycleflyer said. I've only used mine once like that (light near the front, batteries strapped to the back of the helmet), but I could hardly feel it on the helmet while riding.

I ride with a camelbak. I put the battery in the zip pocket of the camelbak.
I tried putting the 2cell Li battery that came with the dinotte 400L on the helmet, but found the weight excessive for my arthritic neck.
