Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

No ride report yet. I'm using SPD pedals for now and a short Ritchey seatpost because the 30cm carbon fiber seemed overkill considering only 1" is exposed.

Looks sweet, and there you go with those great handlebar wraps again.

Looks great. Are the headset spacers small in diameter or just an optical illusion?

That's just the style of the Thompson stem I had on hand. That stem is tougher than the 3TT I had earlier and the Ovalmaster has a reputation for being a clydesdale bike.

Nope, the fork and spacers are 1" and the stem 1 1/8". The bike came with a shim and I had to substitute a smaller carbon fiber spacer for one of the blue ones. I want to keep the bars as high as possible.

If you look closely you'll see the chain grease I left on the right side by the bar end - to keep it real.

Yep, that's the more expensive import stuff :) I was saving it until I had a worthy bike since it costs 10% of what I've flipped bikes for. I guess after wrapping 100 bars you get one right occasionally.

That's either Deda or Cinelli tape that's about $16. The most popular refurbished 10 - 14 speed road bike price point in my area is $150. I've sold some nice ones in the $250 range but newer builds in the $500 - $900 dollar range take a lot of effort to sell (even if worth double the price).
