I'm looking for a freewheel and a fixed cog for them. I'm looking on eBay. Are the threads a standard size? would I need to look for a specific type of threading or anything? I'm new to this. Thanks for the help.

you are looking for one with a flip-flop hub then. make sure that you get one with a decent hub. I can get a wheelset of DP18s at SLC in framingham for 120 for nonmachined colors, 120 for machined white/black and 90 for silver machined-nonsealed bearing
all with formula hubs. dont get ripped off

i looking right at them now and I don't see any markings noting a thread size or anything. So I'm guessing I could buy and track cog off eBay and it would fit right?

If they're Formula/Dimension/Joytec/whatever hubs, you don't need a fancy cog or lockring. Dura Ace, Surly, EAI, etc will work with your hub.

I recommend EAI, Dura Ace, Surly in that order. get whatever you can afford and get a really good quality lockring too. If you're getting a freewheel as well you have more choices but your basic Shimano will work well.

Also get a lockring tool if you're going to install the cog yourself. You don't necessarily need a chain whip cause you can use the rotafix method, Search "ROTAFIX" and it will show you how to do it. The freewheel you can just thread by hand and it will tighten as you ride. Good luck.

Where can you get these for such a good price? The best I've seen is like $150 for the pair.
