Heh, I just saw the new one... classic horror movie... if you're into the horror movies, I totally give it two thumbs up for fun and somewhat disturbing (the most disturbing scene I think - involves a chainsaw and no zombies - you'll see). Fun soundtrack. Classic classic horror movie imho.
A group of my friends went and they all said it was really fun! That is as long as you don't take it seriously. Can't wait to go. I remember seeing the first one when I was a kid.
OMG! This movie is off the chain! And I don't use that word often.
I rented it and watched it yesterday. This is definitely going into my DVD collection.

The original (1976) is my favourite movie of all time. The first day of my Film and Writing course, we had to do a bit on one really great movie, and why; and one really bad movie, and why. My choice for good was Dawn of the Dead ('76) and Dawn of the Dead ('04) for bad. Wicked lame attempt to make money off of a cult classic, but I'm glad Romero has enough money to film Land of the Dead now.
If anyone is interested, there's a fan-made pre/sequel to Day of the Dead which is out soon, I believe.
