The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and the Municipal Transportation Agency are going to pass out free bicycle lights on the evening of December 2 in SF. Check out the link for more info.

Talk about the ironies of the timing... They're passing out lights to those whom have no lights...but they're doing it at 6~7PM...when it's already dark...

I think that's the point. To give riders that would otherwise be riding around in the dark, lights.

The Light Up the Night bike light giveaway corresponds with the darkest month of the year to increase rider safety in the dark.
