BMX - Stupidest Crash

I know there's already a thread on worst crash but this one is for the stupidest thing that you have wrecked doing, and how bad it hurt ya, and not like stupid crazy, like stupid "i cant believe i just fell doing that" stupid.

I was dropping in yesterday and my front tire caught the coping sending me head first over the bars down to the flat, landed straight on by side, dislocating my shoulder slightly and killing my hip, i felt like such an idiot getting up from that one, luckily there were only like 2 people that saw me do it

hah, done stupider. when I was just starting BMX last year, I rode thru a new memorial park, and some of the concrete on a path wasn't quite dry yet. I tried to turn on it, and my rear wheel slipped. I broke my tibia and fibula (both bones in lower leg) clean thru and bruised my femur when I hit them on the wooden box around the concrete. *so much shame*. wasn't even doing a trick lol

that sounds painful^^^. I bike to class through downtown savannah and on the way to class a few weeks ago, i was weaving in and out of traffic as usual just going along. I went to hop up the curb onto the sidewalk to cut through a parking lot. I had a decent amount of speed and when i went to hop up the curb, all of a sudden my bike wasnt under me anymore and I went straight onto my right knee. I slid across the cement on my knee and forearms before tumbling across the sidewalk. I ended up with some bad road rash and messed up my knee a little. it still feels a little tweeked every now and then and I still have no idea what caused me to crash. it was like something grabbed my bike from underneath me when i hopped. oh, and there was a long line of cars waiting at a red light and some girl on bike cruising by as it happened. they all saw me go down haha.

I cant believe that i fell jumping over a small orange cone about 10inches high and I usually jump 2.5-3 feet. Halfway through the air I pictured myself clipping my back tire on the cone and flipping over the bars, so I naturally leaned back and flipped off the back lol. I hate mental blocks.

don't know why I'm telling this but I will...

I was packed up and leaving my campsite in the morning, when I realize I'd left some breakfast trash on the picnic table. Rather than getting off the bike, leaning it against the table and carrying the trash 100' to the dumpster, I decided to be more efficient as the dumster was on the way out. I did a u-turn on the pavement, rode through the grass to the picnic table, snagged the trash with one hand while I handled the (fully loaded) bike with the other hand. Everything went according to plan until I approached the dumpster. An ant crawled out of the trash onto my hand. I tried to shake it off, but unfortunately my other hand shook in evident sympathy causing the bike to enter some kind of harmonic undulation that eventually resulted in me lying on my side with one foot still clipped in, with the ant still crawling up my arm.

No real harm done, and fortunately it was early and nobody saw.

ooh... mental damage and lasting damage. hate both lol

wait, dude, you use clips while camping? I really don't liek clips, and I rarely even use them for racing... but camping? lol

no, I don't use clips, I was clipped in my clipless pedals :)

Well, these didn't really hurt but it happened a few times.
I would 180 and then my pant's would get stuck in my sprocket when i am fakieing and just do like a backwards roll and land on my back. It hurt.

Went off a ledge and my foot slipped and gashed my shin pretty bad.
It was deeper than it looks. The pic is after I super glued it together.

ya if you have a bad cut use super glue it will close the cut to gether it works good

Yep, it made the scars smaller than not doing anything as well. I probably should have gotten stitches but the hospital here takes forever.

Just thought of another one.

Last summer i was mountain biking early in the morning and was about 12 miles out. I was apperently the first person on the trails that morning cause there were spider webs everywhere. Well i went through this one gap between these two trees and there was another spiderweb, except this one had a HUGE occupant that was now crawling up my sunglasses. I flipped out cause i dont like spiders and took both hands off the bars to swat it off me. At the same time i hit a root and my wheel turned and over the front i went down the hill. It broke my derailur and i had to push my bike 12 miles back to the car, bruised and cut up

what happened to the spider?

I wish I could say that i killed it for all the trouble it caused but Im not sure, it probably jumped off when it realized i was going down haha

i just liking riding around town instead of doing tricks so i was in down town when i saw some good looking girls so im just looking at them and nod my head like a cool guy then my front peg hit a parking meter and i just flew forward i just got cut but i humiliated myself in front of the ladies

That'll learn you not to have pegs you don't use :P
