I've seen them recently on eBay for $999, at the bottom of the page, not as an auctioned item. IIRC, the main business of the company selling them is boat sales.

They've been listed in the West Marine (http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/342917/377%20710/0/folding%20bike/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/0/0?N=377%20710&Ne=0&Ntt=folding%20bike&Ntk=Primary%20Search&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Nao=0&Ns=0&keyword=folding%20bike&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=5004&subdeptNum=7&classNum=10887) catalog all year.. although when I was in Sausalito's W/M earlier in the month, only their house brands were on the floor... looking at their page, I see 'limited availability' and 'not accepting orders' for one of the colors... sounds like a supply problem is in effect..
