Ok folks, I decided to change the ride to a metric. One of my knees has been bugging me, and I don't have the right clothes for the cold, and no lights in case it takes longer than expected. Considering I need to replace my street clothes due to weight loss, cycling winter clothes and lighting are taking a back seat for the time being.

It occurs to me that if any of you want to come very close to a century, you could park at Discovery Park in Sac and ride up to the start, then ride back to there after. Hagan Park is about at mile 15.5. Make sure you let me know if you are going to do that so that we can arrange for meeting.

10am start, which will give anyone that might come from the Bay area time to get here without having to get up too early. Just outside Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova:
50 to Mather Field Rd. Exit.
Mather Field North
Right at Folsom, just past the light rail tracks.
Left on Coloma, just past the Raley's grocery.
Left on Chase.
Park on the right in the lot just past the HS, but before the park entrance.

Lunch break at Karen's Bakery in Folsom. ~65 miles and 2500 feet.

Who's in?

Well, it was just my wife and I. We had a really good ride and a spectacular lunch at Karen's. The weather was outstanding too.

Congrats, sounds like a nice ride, hopefully it was less windy with you than it was for us at the top of Diablo.
