Okay, it's starting to get to be that time where the games are nice and cheap, but right before that point where scarcity becomes an issue and used game store completely rook you because they know you can't find the stuff anywhere else. PS2 was a really cool game system, it's the first one I've owned since NES and I'm glad I did because it stomped everyone else and had the coolest games. The verdict is still out on PS3, but since there aren't as many console-exclusive games anymore it looks kind of bad for PS3. Anyway, what are the best games so I can get them before they go away?
I wish used PS2s were as cheap as used Gamecubes. I'd love to finally pick up a PS2, but I don't think I care enough to spend the $80 or whatever a used slimline unit goes for. Oh well.
If you haven't played Katamari Damacy, do so. Bizarre as hell and completely fun.

If you like shooting games, BLACK is the best one I have found.
Gran Turismo 4, SSX Tricky and Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
they're all pretty old, but still darn good. M vs. C 2 is kind of rare, though.

Add ToCA Race Driver 3, MotoGP 4, Enthusia, Okami (although the Wii version is slick), both of the Katamari games, Tourist Trophy (I liked it), Simpsons Hit & Run, Star Wars: Starfighter, Colin McRae Rally (I have the 3rd one), and any Guitar Hero game (although you'd have to get a guitar controller, too). The Lego Star Wars games are a lot of fun, too.

Get a used first gen PS2. It may be fat, but I bet they are cheaper used.

Okay, now it makes a lot more sense to me. I think my mom vehemently kept me away from those kinds of movies so I never heard the storyline before. I might have to get it for myself now. :thumb:

+whatever for Katamari. The first one is mandatory. The second one is almost as good (which is still really good).
Dance Dance Revolution are also good picks.
God of War
Gran Turismo 3/4 (espically if you can get your hands on a Logitech steering wheel and pedals)
Metal Gear Solid 2 (i haven't played MGS3 yet but it comes highly recommended by others)
I'll post more when i get home, i've got a big stack of games sitting next to my computer monitor. Alot of them unplayed/unbeaten though... :(
(i like to collect the good ones)

I like all the lego games. I got'em for playing with my 9 yr old daughter, but I like them solo, too. I also highly recommend Tomb Raider Anniversary.

Shadow of the Colossus is kinda mandatory. :)
If you haven't played it already, Resident Evil 4 is also a good choice.

Devil May Cry 1 & 3.
Freedom Fighters (if you can find it) is one of my all-time favorite games.
Ring of Red is a great strategy game (if you can find it). And I don't even like strategy games.
Ico is a great game. You must play this if you plan on playing Shadow of the Colossus.
The Suffering is a good horror game with monster designs by Stan Winston I believe. There is a sequel that I have played a little bit of and it seems to be on par with the first one.
The Prince of Persia games are good. The second one is pretty tedious, but I'd say it's worth playing to see the story unfold.
The Thing is pretty good. It has an interesting teamwork dynamic that is trust-based. Might be hard to find.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is fantastic.
I hear Bully is a good one.
Psi-Ops is fun. Rag-doll physics! Yay!
I've played a little bit of Indigo Prophecy. The controls were a bit sloppy, but the story was what kept me interested in it.

Hmmm, interesting choice. :)

I have it for the PC and it was okay... But that's probably because my computer was underpowered. I still need to try playing it again on my new computer. It also probably plays better with a controller instead of keyboard and mouse. However, i am a sucker for cyberpunk. :D
I'm just sad the Iron Demon got cut from the game...
