So while this remodel is happening, the cat and I are staying in the same room. She is not to leave the room and there's nowhere else for me to go. That means, she eats, drinks, and poops in my room.

Little thing just dropped a deuce and a half that makes a pig farm smell like roses. GAH! Oh god, it's horrible. It's 22 degrees outside and I have the window open. There is a 2 inch thick layer of Febreeze on everything. I can still smell it. God, it's horrible...:barf:

hehe - While I had <sob> widdo-boy in there - the other cats ALSO used the box - especially my big boy who had a hard time adjusting his big fanny into the little box - but ... he managed.

I mean at night - I heard the familiar scratching - hoping NOT for the big one - and <sigh> they'd let loose - and so it woke me up so I would clean it.

I kept LOTS of plastic bags in my room and basically - while I was home - as soon as they left one - I scooped it out. PHEW - does NOT take long to take over!!

(plus I banned all canned cat food - that makes for extra stinky!)

Cats are not pets. Cats were created by the unholy one to prepare us for the suffering that awaits us on the next plane. They show their disdain for inhabitants of this plane by openly licking their privates in our presence and urinating pure ammonia. I am not sure what cat feces is made of, but it cannot be good. And they can vary the staining property of the hair ball sauce based upon the cost of the item onto which they are going to deposit said hairball.

I must have led a pretty good life, for I have never been directly cursed with cats by the unholy one. My wife was cursed with two at the same time, but my goodness eventually made them leave this plane, but not before they shredded my furniture, stained my carpet and did other vile acts in my home.

My cat decided to take a dump in my laundry basket at 1:00 AM the other night. It was so ungodly awful that I had to throw the cat out, do the cleaning, turn on the ceiling fan, and light incense. I am no longer a cat person.

Cats are evil. They piss on stuff you don't want smelling like ammonia. They throw up gobs of fur in the worst places right next to the bed. They get tangled up between your legs when you're going down stairs. And they always cuddle up with your spouse/SO.

I like dogs.

Good idea, but she already has a fully enclosed, carbon filtered litter box, and the smell still permeated the room...

all the matches in the world would not have been enough to overcome that oder. I'm telling you, I've smelled dead and rotting carcasses that were better than this.

My cat always stinks up the place whenever he takes a dump. And he's been having really bad gas as well. It's his defense mechanism against being picked up. You pick him up and he gasses you. aw it smells awful. I still love my cat.

The most annoying cat I've ever known didn't hold a candle to the annoyingness of an average dog. :p

I am sorry you never had a good dog. Mine will go with me everywhere. She responds to voice commands for most things I need her to do. Sleeps at the foot of my bed. Defends our yard from squirrels, protects the boys, and would probably lay down her life for them if need be. And all she asks for in return is a pat on the head, scratch on the ear, and a kind word. I have never had a relationship with a cat that can match the one between dog and master.:D:innocent:

That's because you have a good dog, not an average one. Same goes for cats. I'd rather occasionally have to clean up vomit than constantly have to take my little yapper outside just to poop. And for the record, I like both cats and dogs, I just can't stand those dogs who constantly bark and seem to be out of control all the time. (Which, for some reason, seems to be nearly every dog any of my friends have owned)

I've also noticed that cats seem to be able to tell when a person hates them. I've never had pawprints on any car I owned, or puke in my shoes, etc. But things like that always seem to happen to the people I know who hate cats.

I finally got this post. Your saying to put that to the cat....makes perfect sense.

 what are you feeding the cat?

I've decided I need to toilet train the boyfriend's cat, this buying litter crap is no fun. If she'd just poop in the toilet I'd be thrilled, she can still pee in the box because the feline pine does an amazing job of taking care of that.

In preparation for the cat moving in, I have about 3 dozen tealights, 15 glade jar candles that last forever, and about a dozen packs of the glade scented oil candles and several of the bases.

Not to mention, have you ever heard of a guy taking his cat hunting? I mean seriously. The cat would look at you as if to say "**** you....you shot, now you go get it"
