Northeast - Looking for rides in the DC (Springfield) Area this weekend

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
We will be in the Springfield area for the thanksgiving weekend and the weather looks like it will be rideable.
Does any one have any 30 -50 mile routes they can recommend, or maybe a club or other group ride ?. We will be near Pohick rd.(Near the Alban Rd and Rolling Rd intersection)
I have found 1 route on Cyclist Nexus that looks OK, but am looking for more suggestions.
Thanks

Potomac Peddlars has a couple of rides close to you.
Closest would be the Belle Haven winter training ride Saturday morning.

The Bike Lane's Saturday morning rides are approximately 30 miles each:

i used to live right in that area and here is a 50-60 mile route i used to take regularly.
take pohick road south east and make a left onto rt 1 and make your first right on old colchester road. Make a left on to Gunston road and follow it to the end to get a cool view of the potomac river and turn around. Make a right back on to colchester and make a right on rt1. Take rt 1 for about 2 miles (this part sucks) and make a left on mt vernon memorial hwy / 235. Follow that til you get to the circle at mt vernon and get on the gw parkway. Take that about 8 or 9 miles until you get to alexandria. When you get into town make a left onto duke st. Make a left onto Holland and when you get to the circle make a right on to eisenhower. Take eisenhower until ends at Van Dorn st and make a left. Climb the hill and go about a mile or so until you get to franconia rd and make a right. Take franconia and make a left on to Beulah. Beulah "ends" at ft belvoir where you want to make a right onto telegraph. Take telegraph back to rt 1 and make a right to get back to pohick.
