Hello Fellow Cyclists, need some advice.

I'm planning a trip to visit some friends in Alabama and would like to take my mt. bike to explore some new trails. I'll be going to the Fort Rucker area, specifically near Elba. I heading there next weekend for a long weekend. Any decent trails in the area (no more than a 45 min. drive) would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Everyone.

Check out the trail reviews in mtbr.com...
http://www.mtbr.com/trails/

I also found this link on our local mtb club's web-site (www.bump.org). It's... http://members.aol.com/sandluna/bike.html
If you don't find what you're looking for you can e-mail the guy who runs the site.

I live in Birmingham and there are lots of good trails in central and north Alabama...don't know much about South Alabama.

Good luck!

I just poste on the mtb forum. And just noticed on this one that you'll be in Elba and that made me think of one more. It is at andalusia which isn't far from elba. They have about 20 miles.Nothing spectacular.Basically flat doubletrack for hiking, horses and bikes. We did it newyears day just for something different. It's nice and quiet and good scenery. But it is nothing technical at all.Other than that like i mentioned in the other post.Troy state in dothan has 5 mile singletrack and 2.5 jeep trails.Ft rucker has equestrian and jeep trails.
