 My lady friend in Austin had her bike stolen yesterday. I know there is no chance she will ever get it back so I am now in search of a decent bike on a budget. She is on the short side at 5'2. Her bike that she got about a month ago was a gary fisher mountain bike and she loved it. She got it for $250 and that is about the limit of our budget. So if you have an extra bike that you need to get rid of in that size and price range then please let me know. Thanks a bunch!

I guess I should also add that I am in Dallas and she is in Austin. I am willing to pick it up either place. I am also going to keep an eye on craigslist of course. I am not firm on the 250, I can go higher.

I have a 17.5 inch Jamis Coda Sport, the year is 2005, I think, I've ridden it less than 1000 miles. It's in very good shape, apart from one chip on the frame and a few cosmetic scrapes. It may be on the large side for her, I'm about 5'11" but I have short legs (<30 inch inseam), and it has a sloping top tube. I converted it to drop handlebars, but I have all the old stock parts so it will convert back to flat handlebars quite easily. I also replaced the suspension seatpost with a Thomson elite, and switched the stock saddle for a Terry Fly. I'm in far North Dallas, near Frankford/Hillcrest.
