Shimano left/rear triple STI shifter in good working condition. The main/big lever on the rear shifter (RSX) of my girlfriend's Can-o-ale won't spring back after you shift, maybe rebuildable?
Prefer 7 or 8 speed era (RSX, 105, tricolor...anything) but will consider newer. Would like to avoid Sora.Under the front cap of that RSX lever is a spring that needs to be installed correctly.
Often, it simply slips out, but it is the only thing that controls that lever's return.
It's tricky, but can be repaired on the bike.
Be sure you can corrall any parts that may come off.
Undo the bolt. CAREFULLY lifty off the cap.
The spring has two ends, each bent at a 90-deg angle to the spring itself.
Each end fits into a small hole, one on the shifter body, one on the cap.
The trick is to install the spring onto the shifter body, then twist it around so there's tension on it, and seat it into the cap, then secure the cap. This will ensure lever return.
Good luck. It's tricky, and kinda mean, but not impossible.
Be prepared to try several times and say bad words..

French threaded Specialites TA tandem cranksets. 165mm Stoker, 170mm Captain is ideal. Willing to go 170/170 for both positions. Can't seem to locate any that are as yet untapped. I'm looking to purchase, but have plenty of genuine C&V goodies to possibly trade... Yes, I hoard the damn decent stuff.
Also seeking out a Jack Taylor stem between 70-90mm, brake cable stop optional. Such a stem would have J. Taylor stamped near the clamp, and employ a Gripfast slotted pinch bolt.
Thanks

Here is the thread to Centurion Turbo and Equipe images. I don't have an Equipe...yet but love the bike and hope to see a few images posted there (Julian?). My bikes are not perfect by design. I think of them as saddle guns that are beautiful but functional first. To that end, a few scratches allow me to use them instead of religating them to trailer baby status.
