Have:

I just picked up an early 70s U08 in mint condition for next to nothing. This is my first road bike to tinker with and I would like to replace the wheels, shifters and RD. This will be my lunch break bike to keep at the office. I am looking for any 27 inch alloy wheelset that will fit the old Peugeot frame without widening, Suntour Power DT Shifters and a Suntour Vg-T Luxe RD.

Please PM if you have any of these items. I would rather purchase from someone here than go through eBay. Thanks

Looking for a 51-54 time trial - funny bike frame set. Is saw two Daccordis go unbid on ebay for 400 in Dec but i wasn't as committed. I would really like to get something with curved tt and dt tubes; for some reason these drive me nuts. Looking for medium end or a well used high end. Paint and condition not a huge issue as this monster will be built to be ridden. Thanks.

WTB- Need top mount suntour shifters for my Miyata 1200, have some things to offer in trade or cash works I guess. Even though I don't have much of that. Since it has the braze on thingy there on the downtube, wanted to do a stock like setup instead of clamp on. Thanks!

I just knew I shouldn't have traded away my only 26.6 seatpost a couple of months ago. Guess what I'm looking for? Sugino or SR, fluted would be nice, excellent to perfect condition would be wonderful.

I have stuff and money. PM me if you have the seatpost I want and tell me what you're seeking cause I might just have it.

I've got several of those kicking around, when I get off work I'll see if I've got one that's fully functional. The reason I have so many is because I was buying them up to find one that hadn't been tampered with to use as a pattern to put the others together. They look so simple when they are together that people take them apart to clean them only to realize they can't figure out how the hell they worked before. PM me your trade list, I'm sure we can work something out.

Here ya go, a pair of ICS clips for c-record pedals. I just bought some standard Christophe toe clips
for something like $11 on ebay from ww.cyclery. you just need to keep watching.

Yeah, I know they're out there, but I'd put that auction under the "over-priced" category. It's already at $25+ shipped with three days left.

Kinda pricey but they are ICS.....I wouldn't be surprised if they go alot higher than that. I'm gonna watch and see. I watched some ICS worked over Super Record shifters go for about $300 once. Very collectable and rare stuff.

I've got a very nice Suntour Cyclone II FD that is missing the cable housing stop, bit I guess it is possible no stop is required but if that's the case why would the body be threaded right where a stop would fit in perpendicular to the cable route? It would thread into the seatpost clamp assembly body in the hole closest to the spring in the photos and likely has a tapered allen-head bolt. Photobucket is down yet again--it seems to be down more than up these days--so I can't post a photo at the moment. If you've got a sacrificial donor out there somewhere, let me know and we can work something out.

Thanks jtarver but the Spirt is a much earlier FD model. While it's likely a generic or purpose-made part from another model might thread into the hole the possibility of a match would be small.

Anyone want to trade some vintage stuff for a few modern components?

I need 10 speed campy stuff. I'd like to keep it Centaur or higher groups.

rear 9/10 hub
rear mid or short cage der
front der with 28.6 clamp
10 speed cassette, 26 or 28 big cog would be nice.
I'd consider an entire 10 speed rear wheel.
Cinelli bars in 44cm, do they even exist? Not sure...

Also looking for:
-Campy aero brake levers
-campy brakeset that is not nutted...not even sure what that means but I have a mid 80's set up campy brakes that take allen nuts and they dont fit in my ALAN frame.

I have a super record 170mm crank with 52-42 rings. Also have a bunch of other stuff like 2x8 speed shimano brifters in used shape but functional
shimano 600 tricolor double 172.5 crank
shimano 600 tricolor rear mech
cash
and other stuff. Hit me up if you have any of the stuff above.

The cable stop was an optional item only required if you needed a piece of cable housing to end there. Most bikes of that era had BB cable guides of some kind that routed the bare cable up to the derailleur, so you don't often see the threaded stop that fits there.

RobbieTunes

It looks like it just routes the cable up to the clamping bolt. It almost looks like a perpendicular stop, somewhat like on an older brake caliper.

I just got a bike with Suntour Sprint FD. I didn't notice that there was nothing in that threaded hole until I took it apart to clean it. I thought it was missing but no, it shifted just fine without it since the cable does go under the BB in a guide.
I do have a Suntour ARX and it has the cable housing stop. That frame is gone though.

This happened today so you guys read my mind and answered my question as well.
Thanks

need:
27" tire set. Preferably new or nearly new.
A nutted brakeset. I'd prefer sidepull dual-pivot calipers, but those are hard to find nutted. I'll take centerpulls only if they have the straddle cables, a housing stop for the seatpost binder, and yokes.
Aero brake levers. Brand and type doesn't matter as long as they're in good shape. Would prefer SLR.
Always looking for tools, also. 4-tooth and two-tooth freewheel removers, spoke wrenches, a truing stand, torqueful allen set, good cone wrenches, 4th hand.

have:
New Nitto Crystal Fellow Seatpost. 27.2mm, single bolt. Beautiful.
New ultegra front brake. Short reach of 39-49mm, recessed nut.
New FSA Energy Brakeset. Short reach 39-49, recessed nut.
New Sugino 172.5mm non-drive side crank arms for RD2.
Nitto Technomic High Rise Stem. 50 or 60mm reach, 280mm high.

Looking for some cantilever brakes that are most likely going to be vintage and not new. I think they need to be the smooth post kind where the post of the brake pad is secured in front of the brake arm itself. They're for a 1986 Schwinn Passage and there's not much room behind the brake arm for the rear of the pads to clear the fork. If one or both of the arms had some type of independent spring adjustment, that would be a bonus. The Passage only has one hole in the brake mounting boss for anchoring the base of the spring.

I finally got my '85 (or '86) Nishiki International home. After inspecting it closely, it had a broken rear hub flange. I'd love to keep it, but considering all the other bikes I have, I decided to part it out instead of converting it to SS. I figure someone here will want the stuff!

Have:

Suntour Sprint front and rear derailleur, average condition.
Suntour Cyclone 175mm 144bcd crank arms, above average condition. ****SOLD****
Suntour Cyclone front and rear side pull brakes, one average, other slightly nicer.
Suntour aero brake levers with blue hoods, above average condition. ****SOLD****
Araya 700c rims, gold anodized, brake surfaces worn to bare aluminum.
Cinelli alloy drop bars with Cinelli polished alloy stem, 80mm reach, 22.2mm insertion. ****SOLD****
Last but not least:

85/86 Nishiki International, blue on gray. 25" (63mm) from middle of BB to top of seat tube. Paint in very good condition, with some scratches, but overall looks really nice. Chrome on headset is pitted in some spots. Comes with seat post.

I think I have the brakes that would have originally been on there.... I have a 1986(?) Schwinn Mesa Runner that had never been ridden when I got it many years ago. I took the original brakes (Dia Compes, I think) off and put them in a bag. I replaced them with OnZa HO brakes. Let me dig them out and I'll PM you with a pic of them.

Up for trade is my 62cm c-c (60 tt) Tommaso SLX. I really don't want to part with it but I have, literally, run out of hooks. These frames were sold by Ten Speed Drive Imports in Marina Del Rey, CA. The frames were OEM's from top Italian builders and brought to the US for paint. This one is made of SLX tubing and is in excellent shape. They are very fine frames.

The frame has been repainted (not by me) in the Irish colors (or is it Italian?) and is in great shape. The paint looks wet. There are a few surface scratches but no scratches into the paint.

PM if you are interested - we can work out a deal. This is a steel is real deal.

Note: only the frame and fork is for trade/sale.
