I would be willing to part with either (both) my '88 Greg Lemond (SPX) or my early 90's Titan (Columbus Thron, Italian built...probably DeBernardi)...both have a 57cm TT. A quick forum search will yield pics of both...

Looking for: A screw that goes into Shimano 600EX lever (BL-6209). I just need one. A junky 600 EX lever would be perfect too.

You just need a hardware store. The Dura Ace levers of the era used the same screws. I dropped one on the garage floor, never to be seen again, but found a screw that would work at my hardware store.

They sell the same screw at the hardware store? This isn't a Shimano specific part?

I wouldn't have suggested it were it not a viable option. They don't sell the exact same screw at the hardware store. They do sell small stainless hardware with the correct thread pitch that will make your levers useful again and I doubt anyone other than you will notice that the tiny screw is not the OEM piece.

I am not sure abouut the triple version, but the Victory crank was supplied with the same self extractor as the C-Rec (Screw with incorperated extractor, in Campi Speak) I am not sure if it was left hand or not.

I need canti brakes for an '86 Raleigh Portage. The holes for the spring pin are on the outside of the boss instead of the inside like reg. cantis. I tried Pauls and there is a clearance issue in the fork so they wont work. According to retro raleighs catalogue scan the '85 came with Deore XT (safe to assume the '86 is the same). A set would be nice but the Pauls work in the rear so one would be fine too. Also any suggestions for a modern brake are fine I'm not going for original restoration here, just workig brakes.

My Trek 830 has Shimano Via #BR-AT50, also with the holes on the outside. Came as a bit of a surprise! Good luck.

Thanks - the crank threads are not left handed, I stuck some Shimano 600 ones in there but they don't really fit (too short) and one vibrated out. Actually the cranks are 'racing T' but I believe they are equivalent to Victory back then.

Could also use hoods for pre-98 Campy integrated shifters/levers

NEED: quill stem to fit Nishiki International fork. I have all the parts ready and my SR stem does not fit. The Nishiki fork steerer is 15cm and seems to be 21mm inside diameter.
alternate headset 1", threaded (italian maybe?)

Of course the anodized alloy fork I have that matches and fits has some alternative threading. It's Sakae so that does not make sense. The 7 or 8 stems I have are all the same size. I also donated another fork and one of the Schwinn oddball sized stems that might have fit!

HAVE:

Lots of drop bars, alloy, silver. One Cinelli alloy black,
Brown leather saddle.
27.0 Lapride seatpost
27.2 short silver fluted seatpost
lots of quill stems, Pivo and SR
ask...

ColonelJLloyd

Rob, the Nishiki requires a 13/16" stem. You can still find headsets as they were common on BMX bikes.

I have an 80mm, 21.15mm diameter Compe stem, but I'd like to hold on to it as there's a Nishiki Int'l at my LBS I may built up for my old man.

PM Banjomole. I sent him an SR 80mm 21.15mm stem some time ago and I think he was trying to sell it recently.

Otherwise, here (http://cgi.ebay.com/SR-Royal-Road-Stem-90mm-Reach-25-4mm-bar-833-quill-NOS-/300555392960?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fa7f57c0)'s one, and short Schwinn stem (http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-Schwinn-Approved-quill-stem-21mm-75mm-25-4mm-/130521918503?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1e63b66c27), and another (http://cgi.ebay.com/21-1mm-Lowrider-Bicycle-Steering-wheel-Stem-Bike-Cruise-/230595447879?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b08f4c47), and another (http://cgi.ebay.com/21-1mm-Alloy-Handlebar-Stem-518-9-/260790562001?pt=Cycling_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cb8542cd1). I have a really tall Wald stem that'll work for you, but it has no wedge at present. It's yours for the price of shipping.

Anyone have a Suntour AG rear derailleur in lightly-used condition? The one the Disraeli Gears guy describes, accurately, as "a huge, crude rock crusher of a derailleur." I'm very happy with the bizarre double setup I have--47-36 in front and 14-38 in back--but my current AG is very worn and floppy. There's a lot of play in the cage, so shifting is pretty imprecise, plus it doesn't track as it should. The cage angles in toward the wheel as is does if the hanger has been bent. Hanger is not bent, though. The derailleur isn't bent, either, just floppy.
I have other derailleurs of various kinds and other trade goods.

As of today am looking for a front and rear Campagnolo NR derailleur in reasonable working condition (when do they not work ?) for a recently acquired bike.

They're not all created equal. I cracked one during installation once (snug it, don't gorilla it!) and went to half a dozen LBS's trying to find a match. Finally found one a smidge too big, but some plumbers tape did the trick, for a while at least. Not sure it held up as that bike has long ago left my hands.
