Does anyone have a set of these?
http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f259/thornslegacy2001/ALEAlloyToeClips.jpg

They're size small ALE toe clips, but specifically the ones with the italian-flag-color at the top.

There were at bikeville.com for $10 NIB, but they'd all been bought back in 2007. CURSES!
Bikeville really should update their pages more often.

Anyway, if anyone has a set of these, I'll buy them. Make me an offer.

Wanted: A NOS Shimano 11-23 or 12-23 (or something close) HG70 (or upper end chromed) 7-speed cassette. Though I realize it's a pain, I really need this to be New. I've been through three used candidates now and none has worked (BN HG chain) without ker-chunking under heavy pedal stress.

I have a boatload of commensurate value stuff I can trade for it. Pretty much anything your little heart might desire.

No, I actually don't have much to trade. I have some cheapo parts (dia compe brakes and such) but nothing great. I have been watching ebay and I see them going for around 25-50 plus shipping so I figured I would try here.

It seems that there are issues finding small things.

1. Shim washers for M6 bolt size, 0.5mm thick stainless steel. This is a standard item, but they are sold by the box and I only need 4 of them to fit new idler wheels to my vintage derailleur.

2. Seatpost bolt. I can't seem to find one of those sex bolt type ones that is long enough. With the cable hanger for the center pull brake, I need one that is 30mm. Actually, a standard 8mm diameter sex bolt would work. I have found them with a Allen head and even knurling on the female end. But, I can't find them in metric sizes.

3. 5mm cable housing to 4mm stop cable end. E.G. JagWire CC115-6. I don't really need a bottle of 100 (only need 1), but my old Simplex derailleur has a cable hole which is too small for 5mm housing.

Hey Folks,

Looking for a lightweight chro-mo steel road/touring/hybrid bike (or frame) to turn into a quick urban commuter. Nishiki, Panasonic, Trek, Univega, Miyata, Schwinn, Raleigh, etc, etc. Something similar to the following specs:
- 60-63cm. Closer to 63cm is best.
- Double-butted chro-mo (or equivalent) tubing is a must. Brand names like Reynolds, Tange, Columbus, etc a plus.
- Lugged frame and forged dropouts a big plus.
- Campy parts a plus.
- Nothing bent, kinked, or otherwise screwed up is a must.

I don't need anything super collectible or lusted after. Seriously, the frame could say "Confente" or "Wussy Princess" and it wouldn't matter to me either way. Just wanting a well built, lightweight, steel bike which can get my 6'2" butt around NYC a little better than my '73 Schwinn Suburban (which is too small for me).

I am willing to pay a fair price, but don't want to compete with the hipster posers who drive up the prices here in the city. I AM NOT BUILDING A FIXIE! :) (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) I'm talking around $100 max for a really nice frame, or around $300 max for a complete bike with really nice components. Less than that is even better. Of course, I am willing to make exceptions for really exceptional stuff. (I'm new to this, so if my expectations for cost are off, please feel free to PM me and set me straight... kindly though.) Also, if anyone is interested in my 22" (55cm) Suburban for trades, it's cosmetically beat-up, but is in excellent functional condition and has served me very well aside from the size.

Thanks for reading! :thumb:

i put it against another bike to show proportion, the other bike is a 56 c-c seat and 57 c-c top, so if you ride a 56 this bike will fit you, despite its extreme look
takes a 650 front wheel, which i do not have so it is pictured with a deflated 700c on it. paint is metallic and kind of sparkley but you cant tell in the pictures. couple paint nicks but really small
