Looking for a set of inexpensive (read: cheap) 650c wheels. 130 OLD rear, 100 front. Got an amazing deal on a 12 year old NOS Tri frame $ aero fork that's actually got pretty nice geometry (and is attractive) but only accepts 650C wheels, of which I have zero.
Have 27's and 700c's (both 126 and 130) to swap. Also a pantload of 3rd gen 600FD's and RD's.

I've got a couple in less than good condition which would need some polishing and a new decal... if all else fails...
Does anybody have some old cable cutters? I'm just looking for some that can still cut cleanly. Maybe older Shimano ones.

Since this is C&V, how about a Gitane TdF?
Reynolds 531, 52x52cm and the paint has a certain patina.
ISO inexpensive alloy 27 or 700c wheelset. Nothing fancy, just a little lighter than the seel Weinmann's I currently have.

This is a little complicated, here's the back-story...Thanks to the great generosity of Tigerprawn, I have his Nishiki International frame at home. The fork was completely trashed, yet the frame itself in in very good shape I examined it carefully for bulges and dents and so far see none. This is probably from the early '80s, may be built of Tange Champ #2 tubing, has Suntour forged horizontal DOs, has NOT been drewed, is 58cm C-T with a 56cm TT. here's a "before" pic:
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w314/unworthy1_photo/NishikiFrame/NishIntlFF.jpg
we removed the crank and BB, upon removing the HS I found the race to be cracked so that's toast, too.
Here's the deal: somebody (preferred from this forum) who can pick up locally (SF BayArea) can have the bare frame for FREE...
I have 2 options for a replacement fork, both are all chrome Taiwanese, one threaded and with single eyelets and more clearance, drilled for a nutted front brake, close to new appearance; the other threadless, tight clearance, drilled for Allen bolt front brake, and brand new, no eyelets.
I know I have a HS I can install for the threaded fork, don't think I have a 1" threadless HS...I can cut down either fork's steerer and they both are longer than they need be.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g135/unworthy1/chrome_forks/chromeforks.jpg
(more pics in this album: http://s55.photobucket.com/albums/g135/unworthy1/chrome_forks/)
If somebody wants the frame WITH a fork and HS I offer to sell that for my cost for those parts, nothing additional for the bare frame...cost will depend on the option but figure between $60-$90 and if you're out of the area shipping is extra, too.

To up the ante- I just dismantled a '77 or '78 Nishiki Compitition (58 cm, Superbe and Super Maxi bits) also with a front hit. The fork is fine, the frame is trash. Frame is (was) DB Tange, fork is maroon with a semi-sloping crown. If someone bites on the frame above, I can ship the fork for probably under $30. I'll even throw in the nice headbadge if I can get it off without boogering it up too badly. Anyone want the nice lugs with the little crown cutouts? PM me for pictures.

I can't believe I don't have one, but I need:
a LH crank arm, 170mm, to go with a RH Shimano Exage...and it doesn't have to be that good a match, just with a good square hole and good threads.
Could also use a standard alloy Mtn. bike bar with some rise, about 2"+or-, silver or black, nothing fancy.
I have much to swap, just name whatever you need that's worth the same.
Thanks,
Alan

Jan, I do have a pretty much NOS set of identical Shimano 600 levers with black hoods--they have some very light scuffing on one of the levers that eBay sellers tend to describe as 'shopwear' and the hoods are dried out and pretty fragile, but if you're interested we can work something out. eBay seller Mike Fraysse almost always has a set of the hoods up on auction for a BIN of 29.99 plus shipping.
