Have: Paypal Account......?

Want/Need: Shimano 600 long cage RD (1985ish) All silver/polished type, which still has the exposed chrome allen bolt head on the cage pivot, but with the smooth sculpted design. I have a short cage that I can try and convert, but it's on the SR Maxima and I don't want to break the group up.

This is a fairly rare derailleur in my experience so far. If it can't be found, I guess I will go all the way with 90's Deore XT, which I have a few pieces of. I have the correct FD, and friction 600 shifters. Just need a long cage RD....

Man, try saying "fairly rare derailleur" fast three times, lmao!

JohnD, I think I have those pedals. I can't find 23 on them, but they have: Made in France and Berthet Lyotard on them. In pretty average shape, smooth, with dust caps present. Appears that the tabs may have been bent down, or that's just how they are. Do you have a photo I could use for comparison?

I'll try again to obtain two of these elusive barrel adjusters for Campy NR/SR brakes. A few months ago a NOS set went for something like $35 on Ebay.

See my for sale link below for potential trades; or the forbidden medium..

I am thinking about a new(er) bike... dont know yet.. what can i get for trade for my 72 Fuji Newest. This was one of the top end bikes back in the day... Ive put 700c sun rims (rear needs trued-small flat spot) , new bontrager tires (200miles), new cables, new cassette- now 14 speed bike, seat, wrap, nos cant remember brake handels, etc.. For the most part- the bike still has most of the original parts.. frame is very nice.. i was told the bike was for a 6'1-6'4 guy, im 5'11.. still ride it.. dont care.. i probably need a 54-56cm frame..

I have a nice and complete Green Schwinn Varsity. Got it in a bulk bike buy. Haven't done anything to it, but ride it down the street. Needs usual clean, lube, truing, adjust, replace tires. Bearings spin good. Rims need trued (a little wobble, not bad), chain not rusty. Original seat. Not wrecked in anyway. Rims look good. General thrift store Varsity.

What I need is a "red wine colored", Schwinn 'World Sport' frame. I've got one I've been doing a clean & lube on and noticed the frame is bent. Its not too bad and could be straightened using sheldon browns 'long 2x4 method', (both rear stays are bent to the right), but I'd rather get an un-wrecked better frame.

Anyone need a varsity that can trade me?

Each individual pays shipping for what each receives.

I'm in Omaha, NEBRASKA if you want to come by.

got this NOS hub set: American made, but not sure if they are Cook Bros or somebody else (all markings are gone). They are very substantial, I might say "nuke proof" but that's another story, too. The flanges are approx. 62mm diameter; 36-hole drilling; the rear is 130mm spacing and takes a threaded freewheel; the center barrels are some kind of carbon fibre. Very high-grade sealed cartridge bearings (marked KSK, Japan), the QR skewers are very like American Classics, but I don't think they made these hubs. I'm not ever going to build a vintage Mtn. Bike wheelset, nor a touring set out of these (as I intended) but sure would like a pair of 28-hole black hubs with 126mm rear spacing...either FW or Shimano freehub...equivalent quality for a straight-across trade or we'd have to talk about a bit of $.
PM me with what you've got, and if anybody can tell me what they are: THANKS in advance!

Well, those are American Classic skewers, and other than the different color center section, the hubs look to be Am Classics, too. I'm guessing that someone along the line buffed out that center section.

I am looking to trade my Trek 520 for a mid 80's Miyata 1000.
I have decided that since this Trek is new, I would rather trade it to someone who will ride it or keep it as a collectable. I would believe that this is the best example of a late 80's 520 anywhere.
I really believe that it should probably be preserved but that may also be a waste.

Trying to sell my Ciocc. This is the bike I almost got scammed on trying to sell on Chicago CL. 56cm seat tube, 55cm top tube. I would trade for a similar bike 58-60cm, sell outright, or do a partial trade for a steel bike of the latter size with good tubing. I would sell/ trade for the frame and fork, with the Shimano STX headset and Campagnolo Centaur BB that's are installed. Both were new when I installed them. I've ridden the bike about 20 miles since. If you want a full listing of the parts on the build, send a PM.
