Living Car Free - Volunteering and Car-Free

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
During the holiday season, there is always demand for more volunteers. Something I participated in last year was delivering bags filled with Thanksgiving goods. We decided to volunteer again this year and doubled the number of participants, despite the weather conditions. We only delivered ~30 bags even though we probably had capacity for ~50 (pre-registration undercount). I think most people had a great time and will help out again next year.

"Good God in Heaven!" was my initial response. Think you could attach that to a tandem and declare it some kind of bicycle for the soccer mom?

I know that feeling well! I use FireFox (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) now and use Foxmarks (http://www.foxmarks.com/) to back up my bookmarks:thumb:it also allows me to access bookmarks from a remote computer, and to synchronize them between more than one computer.

That list must be a yard long. I'd love to see it.
In fact, I'm starting a new thread. I hope you (and everybody else) will share your wish list.
