Just wondering if anyone else had been to see the new Cycle Life (http://www.cyclelifeusa.com/) club in Georgetown.

It's basically a club house for cyclists - like the sort of thing you'd find in the old gentlemen's clubs, but modern and revolving entirely around cycling - café, shop, spinning room, gym, business lounge - and most amusing, a bicycle valet and laundry service so you can ride in, valet your bike, change into the suit you'd left, and go to work.

And the staff behave as they do in a gentlemen's club.

I went by the other day and found it very cool. But definitely not $300 / month cool.

A fourth shop in Georgetown? Okay. At least they won't be competing with the others thanks to their $300/mo exclusion fee.

Is that membership just for the separate club?

I stopped in the cafe on last Saturday morning for a coffee as a break after riding in from Northern Virginia and am not a member. It's located on K St just a block from the start of the CCT. Their cycling products seem definitely aimed at the high end market. At 9:30 am didn't have any of the baked goodies mentioned on their website.

The shop and café downstairs are open to everyone.

That odd little one on the side street (the one that isn't Revolution or the one next to Revolution) doesn't even count as a bike shop. It must be a drugs front.
