Well, i did it. i found a Montague MX on eBay, almost new, and the money I saved from not buying one new I spent on replacing the suspension fork with a rigid fork, adding a handlebar extension raiser, folding petals, slicker, thinner tires, and a new seat. All customized, rides great, but....one last thing!

I need a bag! a big, 36" x 28" x 12" bag, or something like that, to carry the bike in for travel via bus/train/car/plane. Montague sells a bag for $100, but it's made out of ridiculously cheap material that feels like it will tear easily. For $40 I found wonderful heavy duty duffel bags at the army-navy store, but none big enough...many were long enough, but none TALL enough...

So, does any one out there with a full-size folder have a good bag? where can i get one?

A while ago I bought this bag on sale at nashbar:
http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=6000122&subcategory=60001134&brand=&sku=10244&storetype=&estoreid=&pagename=Shop%20by%20Subcat%3A%20Travel%20Case

I planned on using it to bag my 20" wheeled folder, but after using it once I decided it was just too big for my bike (especially since the extra fabric is so heavy). However, it sounds like it might meet your needs perfectly.

Nashbar is selling them for $40 right now and, although I'm sure they will eventually go on sale again, I'd be glad to sell you mine for $20. Like I said, you'd never be able to tell it isn't brand new because I only used it once for about 30 minutes inside a coach bus cabin (not even in the luggage compartment). Let me know if you have any questions, but all the specs about the construction are listed at nashbar.com and I believe forum members invisiblehand and maunakea also have this bag and have actually given it some use (unlike mine which has just sat in the closet for over a year).

sent you a PM. definitely want to buy your bag. I'm in New York City, will be happy to pick up in person if you're anywhere close, or pay for shipping.
