I intend to if the roads are passable, 20-25 miles should be good for at least one slice of pumpkin pie :thumb:

No ride Thanksgiving day:(

I'll burn off the pumpkin pie Friday on a regularly scheduled club ride:thumb: If the weather cooperates I might even join the Saturday or Sunday ride.

mais oui, mais certainment...gotta ride everyday until the weather is so bad even the ducks and geese have to hide out, which in wisconsin in soon after turkey day. my clever plan is then to continue riding in the snow and ice with a cross bike w/ nokian studded tires (w240) but we'll see
what happens when the weather really stinks.

today's forecast 41 and sunny, that's not too shabby. THere is a fowl smell in my kitchen and it's check, check, check on the dinner, so mom is riding ;)

uh oh, still haven't gone yet and we're leaving for dinner now. My plan is to escape after I eat, take a ride and come back as if I was never gone.

40 miles in. It was much warmer than I had anticipated or dressed for. I was taking off layers at every cross road. Time to eat some cookies and cake and drink a few beers.

Hope to be headed out soon myself. Need some miles before the beers. Later.

Got in probably 35 or so with MJH2. Not a hammerfest but a sprited ride for late in the season. Great weather and had a good time. Now for pigging out and drinking!

16.3 miles today.
Rode down to the Pilot travel center in Channahon and back. I&M trail is a little mushy otherwise ok on way there. Used all roads going home (E. Frontage, McClintock, US-6, Empress/Houbolt, RRGT back to Black Rd. then into subd.).

Got my usual 20 in (Joliet Junction / Rock Run Greenway + a little).

Began with a flat, but ended up being a good ride.

Left at 10:30 A.M. mid 30's probably, nice and sunny.

Almost had a head on collision with the police between Black and Essington,
not used to seeing cars on the path!

I&M trail was pretty soft, saw a few hunters there (is that legal?).

Ended back at Essington around noon. Probably mid 40's by then,
had taken off every layer I could.

Hope yours was as good as mine!

25ish miles. Not sure it was enough to handle the Turkey Diner and pie but it had to help :)

That's why you missed our 8:00 AM ride in Valley City. 5 of us got in 29 hilly miles starting in 18 degree temps that rocketed to 28 by the ride's end:D.

Yup. I rode. 40 miles in the dark solo. It was fun. And I think my bike hates the rollers as much as I do. When I was on the road last night, everything felt like it was brand new. The shifting was crisp and fast and the ride was very, very smooth...

Yea, that was just too early for me. I did get out after dinner though for 23 miles.( would have been 35-40 but my bike blew up)

Didn't notice any hunting going on but it's illegal along the trail though. They might of been trying to kill some deer which is probably a good idea.

Hope that's not catchy. My son, Eric's cassette blew up during the Tempe Ironman costing him about 30 minutes + frustration. It came loose and the big gears were spinning. He rode all summer on the cassette and hadn't removed it since Memorial Day's Triple T races.

I know further west (near the dresden mule barn) there are "no hunting" signs posted,
I figgered that applied all along the trail. They had several beagles with them, so I'd
assume they were after rabbits.

think most of the hunting sounds come from some gun and ammo club that is off Canal Rd. (Wapella St. in Minooka) about 2 miles east of Minooka.

I think it's because he broke a spoke on the [sabotaged] wheels I gave him.

And yes, i rode yesterday before dinner, then I rode twice today.
