This is a 12 speed, and is said to be a touring bike. Don't know any more than that at this point. What can you tell me about this?

More likely sport-touring (it doesn't have cantilever brakes of a triple chainring). No idea of the model, but I'm digging the rims. Nice. :thumb:

Helped me find out what year my Espree and Pulsar models were.

I assume the model decal is gone.

There are at least some remnants of the model sticker on the down tube.

Interesting combo of parts. Stem shifters, chromed fork tips, no safety levers.

Is it dark green or black?

Are you sure it is not an '84 Del Ray? The color is dark green and in '83 they only had beige and ebony. In '84 they had an oak green color.

83 and 84 Del Reys have down tube shifters and a painted fork. The OP bike has stem shifters and a 1/2 chrome fork.

It looks very much like a 1983 Royale II as seen here (http://www.classicfuji.com/1983_14_RoyaleII&RoyaleIIMixte_Page.htm), with the exception that the Royale II had downtube shifters.

The 83 catalog picture shows 1/2 chromed fork. I was torn between '82 and '83 - where the '82 has stem shifters and a crank that has more writing on it, while '83 has downtube shifters and the same crank. I'd offer that it's a late '82.

I don't think the color on the Royale is right. I think the OP bike is black that's faded.
