More than I've got to spend I suspect. Sorry, no better advice on it than that from me. There are plenty of other schwinn experts that will chime in. I'm actually semi-in the market for a track frame and I suspect a 67 Paramount in reasonable shape for it's age will easily go for $300 minimum (very conservative guess - as in everything went right for the buyer and wrong for the seller).

edit, I'd like to double my conservative guess in the "best" case for buyer. Take this full bike into consideration:

The vintage Schwinn P14 market has gone bonkers in the past couple of years due primarily, I think, to the fixie craze. Complete, straight, rust-free bikes with the original Campy components go for $1500 - $2000 (which is about twice what I'd pay for one). Since most P14s had painted lugs (chrome plated head lugs were an extra cost option on the P14), the frames with chrome head lugs command a premium.

I'd guess the current market would easily support $500 - $800 for a straight frameset, more if it has chrome head lugs and fork crown.

In 1954, you could have bought a new Paramount frame (sans fork) for $57.00. The fork would have set you back another $17.50.

A bit of googling tells me that that would be about $410 in 2008 dollars.

+1. I might adjust that range up or down a little depending on frame size. A really small (50cm>)or really big (62cm+) will GENERALLY fetch less than a normal size frame that is in higher demand (52-58cm). I have a 76' P14 and it is probably my favorite bike, and I never plan to sell it.
