BMX - BMX Back Wheel Problem...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Hi guys,
Sorry if this has been posted before but I need this fixed quickly.
When I turn the pedals on my BMX, the back wheel will not go round.
So basically, you can put it down on the ground and turn the pedals and the bike
wont move.
Does anyone have any suggestions or is it time to get a new bike?
Thanks.

Any chance your brakes or frame preventing the wheel from rotating?
No I've checked all that.

The pedals spin but the back wheel doesnt move? Does the chain and sprocket move? If so, does the cassete(assuming you have one) spin in the back? The cassete is the back part the chain goes on :p
I dont know if I have a cassette but everything operates normally except the pedals wont rotate the back wheel

If your saying yes to me, then check your casette. Heres what a cassete looks like:http://store.airbomb.com/mmAirbomb/Images/large/q/FW9510.jpg
Maybe not that color, probably black. But its the part by the wheel that the chain goes on. Is it moving when you spin the pedals?
EDIT: Sorry, your right ascend. Cassette now pictured.
That's a freewheel, not a cassette. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/free-k7.html
