any suggestions?

Duct tape, zip ties, string, saran wrap, a leather belt, wire.

Most bikes shops sell a velcro strap to hold the pump snug against the frame (assuming your bike doesn't have a pump peg as part of the frame).

no pump peg. ah, velcro strap! makes sense. although the duct tape has its own appeal, i've heard the ladies dig a guy on a bike with lots of duct tape
thanks

You can snug up a zip tie or two with the buckle on the front of the seat tube to act as a pump peg. The Blackburn frame pump has a small hole on the handle end that may fit into the buckle. If not, then position the zip tie below the end of the handle.

Depending on your frame size, you may not need a zip tie at the head tube.

You might also try inserting your pump vertically along the seat tube. If you have the right size, it may hold there without any zip ties. That's how I do it on my old Raleigh.

My bike has a pump peg. However, I still use a velcro strap to prevent the pump accidentally falling off. I want to minimize the possibility that the pump may fall off and somehow get caught up in the wheels. Not a pleasant thought.
