SSSSSSSICK!

the only thing i'd change is the handlebars. to some old mavic TT bars, or the curvy nittos.

SSSSSSSICK!

the only thing i'd change is the handlebars. to some old mavic TT bars, or the curvy nittos.
Handle Bars have been changed to 3T A-Hero Bars, Shimano Bar End Shifters, Quick Stop 2 Brake Levers, Bianchi ITM Big One Threadless Stem, Front wheel is now zipp carbon, Rear Wheel is Carbon Disc, (Not Uni Disc) Profile Cages, Bianchi Seat Post, New Bianchi Celeste Saddle, and new Look Pedals.
So its Old School mixed with some New School :)
Cables will all be installed tomorrow and everything will be adjusted, and hopefully by Monday I can ride my SSSSSSSICK Bike ! LOL :D

Seeing this post, I think to myself damn I used to have one of those...

Then I see the picture, the same one from my living room last fall.

Isn't it a small bike forums after all...

You should see the Bianchi track bike my brother got just the other day, 'bout a 91 vintage much better than the 03 pista I have.

Here is the same one on ebay, but a different size...

Show me pictures once you get the bike set up, I was quite sad to get rid of it in the first place.

Hey nice bike, but I gotta ask a noob question. I noticed the rear tire is solid with no spokes. What is the pros/cons about putting a tire like that on your bike. Again, sorry but I am a noob to road cycling.

solid disc is really aerodynamic but can be a handful if it's windy.

is it even comfortable? why did they make it like that?

Early efforts at faster TT times. No aero tubing or pesky UCI regulations to make the frames all basically the same shape. Look pics of Hinault, Lemond, etc. in TT's and you'll likely see similar bike setups.

Nice, bianchi_rider. Should be fun to ride. What size is the front wheel? What is your shop doing for you?

Small forum indeed.... If this was your bike all I can say is: THANKS, I am glad you sold it to me :D I will make some pics this weekend if I make it down to St Pete to pick it up at the LBS....

OneTinSloth

that pinarello is what i would have to refer to as "the hotness." oh yes.

mmm....hot pink and black! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=22681&item=3670863172&rd=1)

Picked it up from the LBS this evening, The guy at the LBS talked me out of putting on my quick stop brake levers, so instead I have plain levers with hoods, it looks okay, but now I am stuck with the profile design quick stops..
I only got to ride it around the parking lot and it is definately fast.
I was going to make some pics and the stupid digi cam batteries were dead, so I will get new batteries tonight and post a pic or two tomorrow, after I ride it again of course... All I am waiting on are a few Bianchi Decals for the wheels then it will be complete!!!!

I saw that one on ebay too. These was a Nishiki TT Funny Bike liste this week too. Not sure if it sold though.
I have a 1985 Battglin funny bike with full Campy components. I picked up an Eddy Merckx funny bike frame closer to my size and will be swapping over all the components. I will probaly sell off the Battaglin frame at that point.

Got a KHS aero track bike too with the same odd geometry. They all look fast even when standing still.

WOW Toni Miller! What a bike! This put together with gold components and bianchi rider in the pack and we've got a serious race. Bianchi riders adrenallin disk machine will blow them weeds back to the peleton as some cubans going for reefers! LOL.

These bikes arnt funny at all but rather mathematically calculated speed machines! I'll see you guys in alaska where the mountains will be on the level with these machines.

Moser rode the funny bike to victory for the one hour!
These bikes have this potential with degree precision.
Thanks tourdecomp :)

Get this ... 4 years ago when I moved from Ohio to New York I THREW OUT that exact Nishiki frame as I had no use for it and was only stripping parts off of it for my Bianchi road bike.

<slaps head with hand ... doh!>

I think the Bianchi timetrial bike Berzin rode for the Gewiss team during some 1990's Giro and TdF TT's is their best looking machine ever. If somebody has some pics of that bike PLEASE post them here!!!

Hey Bianchi Rider, nice tt.
Thought you might get a kick out of this Bianchi ( I used to be the product manager for Bianchi Canada) and helped develop this baby for Johan's attempt at Roubaix.
Cheers.

Ah, yes. The famous duel between Tschmil and Museeuw. One of the most memorable editions of Roubaix ever. Not exactly a succesful Bianchi :o yet very interesting. Could you make some pics of details like the rear suspension?

For me the no. 1 gorgeous Bianchi was the TT frame Berzin rode (1995 or 1996 I guess) when with the Gewiss team. If anybody has a picture of that bike PLEASE post it here!

Hi Bianchi Rider, the bike was all decked out in Dura ace except for xtr canti's. Not sure how much you remember about the older Bianchi MTB lines, but the Roubaix was essentially a Cobra Full susp MTB but built with Columbus Altec custom tubing and of course with 700 c spec'ing. That was fun to ride but not as much as Gianni Bugno's all carbon world championship winning bike, now that was light!
Cheers.
