Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Soma Rush v. EAI BAreknuckle

Opinions? I know there is a large difference in price but what about their quality and feel and all those different things people are yelling about on here. This isn't about which bike im buying, its a trade im doing. There would also be some cash to balance it out.

I thought about those 2 frames and my LBS said BK for sure.

soma rush is sorta entrance level, BK is alot nicer imo

I'm pretty sure I've searched this same exact topic. The BK is italian bred. Can you really beat that? I love the tubes on the BK. I don't really dig the straight fork though.

I have just had my LBS put together a Soma Rush for me -- I like it.

I use it for commuting and riding around and it's stiff but comfortable -- fun to ride.

I've heard the Bareknuckles are great and the italian steel is definitely alluring -- which one do you have and which one are you trading for?

BK and trading for soma, maybe. id get like 300ish cash plus some drops. im not dissatisfied with the bk just need some money but still need a bike.

i had a rush and didn't like it much. it was alright but i prefer the kilo pro im riding.

I have a BK but have never tried a Rush. Are your riding on the track or road or both? The BK is a great track frame, but honestly, its too damn stiff for the street....it bucks and bounces and doesn't handle bumps and waves in the road as well as a proper road frame. Obviously, its not really designed for road riding, but most people ride them on the road anyway.

In my opinion the BK is way overpriced. In terms of real value I'd say the BK and Rush are nearly equivalent frames..both are TIGed frames made a good steel with similar geometry. I've heard the Rush is not as stiff as the BK...if that translated into a somewhat better riding frame, I'd say the Rush is the better frame (for the street). But like I said, I've never tried a Soma Rush, but I'm curious.

If you can trade a BK for a Rush+cash, you would be getting the better end of the deal IMO.

Get the Knuck if you have the money.
