Advocacy & Safety - Bicycle Safety and Advocacy Magazines

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hello
I'm an photographer and I looove to take pictures of bike and bike culture. Is there a magazine out there dedicated to Bicycle safety and Advocacy? If so will you give me a link to their Website?
Thanks
Dustin

D,
go to: www.bikeleague.org ! this is the site for the League of American Bicyclists (LAB). i think it's one of our strongest links to bicycle advocacy, enlisting statistically backed bicyclist safety inclusion.
good luck!
tomg
their (LAB) magazine is called: "American bicyclist"

Sadly, the mainstream "bike press" gives practically zero attention to advocacy. Bicycling, Velonews, etc. -- they all suck.
There's a relatively new magazine called Momentum (http://www.momentumplanet.com) that's more about the biking lifestyle than just "stuff," covering mostly culture and advocacy. It features articles by uber-advocates like John Pucher and Kristen Steele. Very promising! I'm a fan. Look them up.
