I have a weekend where there are not too many demands on me that will stop me from riding. Currently I am on my 18th day of not riding and I am feeling it. Body has put on a few lbs and the legs do not feel right.
Problem is that the weather is not very promising. Today we have had rain- and yesterday and last Sunday was bit damp aswell. Since Sunday we have had over 8" of rain and the country side is showing it.
Tomorrow looks to be the best day of the weekend so after I get the insurance sorted on the wifes new car- I will be down to the LBS. Time to see what deals I can get on a set of 08 waterwings- preferably attachwed to another frame and forks as I have just enough road parts to build another bike.
I am saying tomorrow for the ride- as only 1" of rain forecast- temp of around 40F and wind strength of 30mph. Sunday looks as though it could be bad..
Know what you mean about the weather, Yesterday was the best day we have had here in the past 3 weeks. But being Thanksgiving here in the states and it was also my fathers birthday I did not get to ride. This weekend they are calling for highs in the low 40's for saturday and rain. Sunday highs in the 30's with rain, ice and snow mix. Not the best riding weather. Lokks like I may have to go buy a trainer to get some miles in this winter.

Here we have real winter. Aside from my morning mountain bike commuter ride to the train station through hail, sleet, driving snow, extreme temperature or a combination of all three, I won't be riding until April. And by riding I mean going out on the road bike.

My other main hobby is gardening but having just looked round the garden-I ought to change it to some form of water sport. I think the garden has sunk.
Locally we have a lot of small streams. They are now 50ft wide rivers but as of yet- no flooding (Except in my garden)
Not to rub it in, however, its predicted to be in the 40's and sunny here. Now if I was only riding!

OK. Went to the LBS and there are NO Giant TCX frames or bikes in the country. That included old stock- which is what I wanted as I do not like the New Frame. The new bikes will be in around February.
But that ride today---- 37F- a bit of rain and a bit of wind at around 15 to 20 mph. At least I missed the headwind as it was mainly a cross wind. Glad I went when I did as although the temp has come up- The wind has increased and it is now a consistent drizzle that soaks. Wore the Goretex- Leggings and the overshoes and kept perfectly dry and warm--Except for the fingers. They just got a bit cold by the end of the 20 miles.
