We've got a thread entitled "Buyer's Remorse" so let's go the opposite direction and post our best deals.

I just bought a new Dean El Diente ti frameset with custom paint for $925.

And, using the 20% discount coupon from Performance out-fitted it with wonderful gear (ti/mg pedals $52/pair, carbon bottle cages $16 each, FSA carbon crankset for $270, etc.) and then get another 10% credit for future purchases from Performance.

What have you done well with?

My $290 Windsor Leeds Brand new (in the box) road/rec bike on EBay.

It is great, even had a person out of the blue come up to me at a restaurant I had stopped at and brag about how great the bike looked (I left it outside)!!

Best deal? Definitely my Goretex jacket. List price of £185, sale price of £100, but haggled as the hood wasn't there, and got it for £75. This model did not come with a hood, and I didn't want one, but that was 5 years ago, and it still looks new, and is perfectly waterproof after 5 winters riding.

Thompson seatpost for 80$ cdn is one of my better deals. Thats around 60% off.

Mint condition 67 PX10, all original, 435$.
My two 84 Trek thriftstore commuters (560 road and 850 MTB), and my Peugeot UO10, 35$ apiece.
My trailer, about 100$ off ebay, didn't think much of it at first, but has almost eliminated my car usage, saving me more than the purchase price. I now realize I love it.

Bought a TREK R200 Recumbent MINT last year $50 yard sale, wasn't my style (as so did previous owner) sold it on ebay $650.

whoa....whoa....whoa......back up just a minute. you just scored a Dean El Diente Ti for around 9 hundy? i've been looking at that frame forever!! i always find one too small...... enjoy.

I got some 65 dollar Cannondale shorts for 10 dollars.

Just picked up a TCR Composite 2 for $1850 from the local Performance store today, but the good part of the deal was that it's a 20% team performance weekend so I now have an extra $370 in performance vouchers.

my new frame from Specialized, although I'm not allowed to mention the price, it was a good deal.. besides, it was an 2003 model. Its amazing how low the prices go after a year...

6 month old '03 Trek 5500 in mint condition and less than 500 total miles for a grand. Bought it from a good friend.

Sorry...I love it tooooooooo much. I also promised my friend that if I wanted to sell it within the first 3 years that he'd get first option to buy it back at the same price. I think that's fair.
