Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - How to delete or consolidate multiple postings?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi;
So it's probably a no no, but I posted the same thread in multiple forums. The useful life of the threads has run out, and I would like to consolidate and/or delete most of the threads. But I can't figure out how.
Thanks. DanO

Not an option, only moderators have permission and they do so rarely, usually in the case of extremely offensive stuff all of us agree needs to go.
As I understand, the option to DELETE your own threads is disappearing rapidly all over. There is no real need to pine for brevity and the greater the number of posts, hopefully the greater the knowledge for the members.
What can I offer you as advice but to edit if you need to and think before you post? We are also supported by advertisments which some forums elsewhere learned about the hard way when they needed new servers. No problemo here. Bandwidth is our FRIEND, Google is only the ad provider and stuff.

Threads never run out of useful life. If they don't contain actual knowledge, then they provide comic relief.

Report the duplicate threads to the moderators, they will delete them upon request.

Can't you just hit the delete key in the edit function?

I can't remember if leaving an empty post will do that and nobody has tried it here. It may just bring up an error message. It wasn't here I saw it anyhow so no, I don't know.
