I just bought a Romisen RC-N3 light (wishing I would have got the P7), and I haven't got the handlebar mount yet. I notice it's bright, but a very narrow beam. I'm thinking it won't provide enough periphperal vision on a handlebar, so I'd like to mount it to my helmet. I tried diffusing the light, but then it didn't appear to be bright enough and have enough range.
I have a Bell Ukon helmet, so it looks like the Lockblocks are the best bet for me.

My question is which Lockblock should I get? I notice there's one for AA flashlights (http://www.boomerdirect.shoppingcartsplus.com/catalog/item/1719053/1226134.htm), which is the size of the Romisen, but the helmet has a big section I need to wrap the velcro around and I'm wondering if that Lockblock has less velcro for the handlebar section. The alternative is the CycleBlock (http://www.boomerdirect.shoppingcartsplus.com/catalog/item/1719053/1226129.htm), which is bigger around the flashlight section but I don't know around the handlebar section. Both these are meant to fit around handlebars, so I doubt there's a difference in the length of the velcro around the handlebars, but I just thought I'd ask in case.

I agree the lockblock looks like it would be best for your helmet, but to be safe I would buy 1 lockblock and 1 bike block..

You can adjust the beam on the RC-N3, by unscrewing the "bezel part" i gets "floodier"
Depends on how you are going to mount the light on your helmet....from the picture of you helmet, it looks like you could use either the parallel version or the 90 degree version.
Before you order from boomerdirect, you might want to check out kaidomain.com in Hong Kong. They have both versions now, and their prices are much less, but the shipping is a carp shoot. I got some stuff from them in 11 days, which I gather is pretty good. Boomerdirect's freight is extremely high, did you check it out?
I got the parallel model from KD, and the 'handlebar' strap is just barely long enough to go around my older Bell helment vent frames, but for $2.08 each, I can buy some more Velcro if I need it.
I also got one of these:

It clamps to the handle bar pretty good, but for the slimer flashlights like the RC-N3, it needs to be shimmed to clamp them in securely. I used some clear vinyl 3/4" ID hose, cut to expand around the flashlight.
Now that KD has the 90 degree 'lockblocks', I might get some of those and see if they work better for mounting the light to the handlebars, or to my helmet. When I ordered my stuff at the beginning of November, they didn't have the 90 degree one yet.

Don't I feel like an idiot. I don't know why, I just didn't think to try this. I guess I didn't remember reading that that adjustment was possible, I didn't see it right away and just didn't go looking. That does help. Of course, the question remains in my mind if it's bright enough to see far enough ahead as well as side to side to work as a handlebar mount. We'll see.
By the way, after searching the forums here I saw someone attach their light with rubber bands and some sort of shim to place it at the correct angle. I gave that a shot and it seems to work pretty well. I put the cord that ships with the light on as added safety and a piece of inner tube around the light. I attached the clip and put the rubber band around it. I used some electrical tape around another section of tube to prop the light up at the correct angle. We'll see how it works long term.
