Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - How to score a bike off ebay on the cheap

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i haven't seen a thread about this, so i thought i'd share. If you go through live.com (an MSN site), any buy-it-now purchase on ebay qualifies for cashback. Right now the cashback is at 30%, so you could get a new Schwinn Madison or Bianchi Pista for $280. There's tons of other deals on there (including a bunch of BD bikes from chicabike) that could be had for cheap. i recently got a Tricross SS for $420 after $180 cashback. The only caveat is that you have to wait 60 days for the cashback to be sent to your paypal account, but you can track it on your live.com account. i've already gotten a bunch of other stuff this way too (and have already received over $200 cash back).

Anyway, i'm not quite as knowledgeable or as antagonistically critical as others, so i don't add much to the discussions around here. i just thought this may be a way for someone to get a bike who might not have otherwise been able to afford one. Or someone to just save a few clams. Post up if you get something.

Here's a link on ebay that explains how to do it all, so i don't have to answer everyone's questions. (http://reviews.ebay.com/Use-Live-Com-for-25-Cashback-on-Buy-It-Now-Purchases_W0QQugidZ10000000009458681?afepn=5335869999&campid=5335869999&PID=1225267)
