Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I own a Diamondback Outlook GX, purchased last year from an NYC store that refurbishes and sells bikes acquired at NYPD auctions. My seat was swiped on the street a few months ago, and when I went looking for a replacement, none of the six or seven bike stores I went to had a seatpost that fit it. I can't find any info about the Outlook GX on the web at all, though info about various model-year Outlooks is pretty easy to find. Finding the exact seatpost size is my top priority (I have a smaller one with a shim to make it fit), but I'd be psyched if anyone could point me toward a detailed spec sheet for the bike. Thanks!

Take it back into a shop. They should be able to tell you. What size post is used with the shim? I'm guessing 26.6 and that the required post is 26.8.
