Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Whynot Dinotte?!?!?!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I finally broke down and got the 140L Dinotte rear light.........
Wow!!!! A light with attitude!!!!!
I notice that cars/trucks give me a much wider berth than ever before......it is as if the light is saying: "stay away from my rider!"
I was visible before (according to my friends at work) but I am VISIBLE now.........
Worth every penny.......
I wish that I could charge it without taking the batteries out of the pack..........
Do people use other AA rechargeables and which ones and is there a reasonable charger at a reasonable price?

With regard to batteries, I would suggest ordering on-line from a place like Batteries USA or Thomas Distributing. They offer a very good deals on chargers when you combine with a battery order, plus they stock the best batteries. I ordered a very good charger with 4 Sanyo 2700 AA batteries for about $25 from Batteries USA. The Sanyos are among the best rechargeable AAs available. I recently ordered some Maha 2700 AAs that are comparable in quality from Thomas, and they threw in some battery cases.
Don't buy cheap batteries and chargers. I got some Rayovac AAs that came with a charger, and it is not worth a darn. It takes a very long time to charge batteries and gets very hot. The charger I got from Batteries USA will charge 4 AA batteries in just a few hours and doesn't heat up like the Rayovac one.

From Thomas Distr: http://thomasdistributing.com/shop/chargers-by-battery-size--aaaaa-chargers-c-147_149_152.html?osCsid=8b8uaqgqie381p2od998kth2b0
I use NiMh batteries #4 AA.........
what amperage can I use (how does amperage affect performance-not mine the light's)
what kind of charger, etc?
how do I know if these batteries are "regulated" and the charger is"protected?"
looks like the third and fourth entries on that page are what I want-2500mA vs 2700mA?
Thanks
