Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - IRO "Bike Build" - Is It a Full Bike?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking at the IRO Mark V "bike build" seen here (http://shop.irocycle.com/shop/product.php?prod=Mark%20V%20Bike%20Build&productid=16359&cat=1&page=1). Does anyone have any experience buying one of these (the bike build that is). Is it a complete bike, with saddle and tires and all? Do you have to assemble it?

Just another curios noob who's itching to spend some cash.

Just read the description.

Our most affordable frame. IRO heat treated Cro-Mo steel. Fixed or Free. 1 1/8" threadless fork. Front and rear brake mounts. Cable stops with one bottle mount. 120mm rear dropouts. Accepts up to 700x28cc tires. Complete bike, 56cm size, 18.75 lbs.

Just by reading it it doesn't seem like they give you much. Keyword "ACCEPTS" meaning it's most likely not given and can fit it, if YOU want.

I think he is asking if the bike comes completely built.

It is a complete bike. I'm sure it needs to be partially assembled. Call them for details or PM CarrieIRO here on BD.

Except for pedals yeah it is. When it comes I think the only things you need to put together is front wheel, pedals, handlebars and seatpost, if it comes with pedals.

No but I have looked at the list of components on the right hand side.

You only need to put on the seat, handlebars, and the front wheel. VERY VERY easy so dont worry, youll only need allen keys, and a 15mm wrench.

Yes a bike build is complete bike, only way it is not complete is if you choose not to add brakes or pedals.
