Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A friend just purchased a pair of Sidi Lightning road shoes which come with the
"Millennium 2" sole. this sole comes with 4 spots for screws placed in a diamond
pattern plus the 2 slots in the middle for SPD cleat attachment. --- see photo that
i attempted to include.

i'm trying to put some look cleats on these shoes for my friend and i have no
problem doing so without any adaptor plate (this is quite nice). the problem
arises from the 2 SPD slots in the middle.....the hardware inside slides around
even when the look cleat is attached. this is very annoying! there is nothing in
the Sidi documentation which explains how this might be done and contacting
them has been a slow process. has anyone solved this problem? i'd prefer a
solution that is not some sort of kludge to stop the hardware from moving (e.g.
super glue the SPD adaptor in place).

My son's adidas are the same way, I just put a flat screw in to keep the spd hardware from moving around, and put the look cleat over that, you never know there is a screw there.

I am thinking I used the screw that comes with a regular pedal cleat, it was a flat allen screw and when it is in it will stop the movement of the harware, it also does not interfere with the inside of the shoe..
Like I said the shoes look the same, so i hope it works for you...
