Foo - Christmas Bonus

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Each year our bonuses get better. This year we have accomplished everything we set out to do, while cutting our burn rate way down. I hope we get bonuses this year, I will know by the end of next week.
Vote for the bonus you're getting this year.
i hate you bonus people:notamused:

I've only been here 1.5 months.
I got a gift certificate good toward $20 off a Butterball turkey... the day after Thanksgiving. Awesome.

If I'm lucky, I might get a pat on the back from the director, but only if I bring something good to the Christmas party.

And probably none for this year.

I'll get a $125 Christmas bonus, my wife will get $25 (we get $25 for each Christmas season we work for the company). I'll also get a profit sharing bonus, which I'm told is supposed to be quite good this time. The last one was about $1k, and this one is supposed to be better. I'll know in a week & a half.

If it's the same as last 2 years, then we're getting $25 AmEx gift cheques. I'm not going to complain; I have a good job that I like, and I'm paid well.
Although, The Girl is with Microsoft and their bonuses are obscene. One year her bonus package was nearly what I net in a year.
My xmas bonus is going to be tiny this year... probably in the paltry six-figure range...
hahahah j/k... I don't work for Citibank...

I work on Wall Street. My bonus went from an embarrassing amount to zero in one year. Jelly of the month sounds good now.

As usual, our Christmas bonus is a 20ish lb turkey. Our actual monetary bonuses don't come out till spring.

My company doesn't give Christmas bonuses.
I consider it a bonus that we're making money and continuing to hire new employees while other companies are having layoffs.
Not only do I never get a bonus, the wife had her position eliminated. They gave her a new position at the same base salary, but no bonus, effective first of the year. That will put a major dent in our budget.

Really? You're hiring? Who do you work for and to whom do I send my resumé? :p

No bonus, and greatly reduced hours from September to the end of the year due to the economy.
I'm a stay at home dad. There's no bonus in this job. Though the kids more than make up for it.

If you really want to know I'll send a PM. We have lots of openings for engineers (hardware & software), IT peoples, and administrative types.

We normally get a bonus and Christmas party - they eliminated the Christmas party this year because 40 people who said they were showing last year never came. They also said it was because most people left before midnight, with a lot of people just staying for the dinner.
No bonuses for the military. Though we'll have a very reduced work schedule and 4 day weekends for both Christmas and New Year's. That helps a lot.
Sorry to hear some here are getting laid off and having to take pay hits. It is a blessing to have a job and that is bonus enough.
My bonus is part a a profit sharing the board votes on every year, we'll see how they voted this year soon enough.

Hmmm, you do have that CIA diploma and you make good soup. Our cafeteria is in desperate need of a new chef - the current food is borderline nasty.
Sorry, I already have a lock on the sloth position. :DAww shoot. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to do anything with this Intent To Graduate certificate.

Probably no bonus this year. Since I've been employeed at my current job, our bonuses have gradually become less. It's ok, they were never that much anyway.
Continued employment, and maybe a profit-sharing bump to my 201K (used to be a 401K).

Thats the biggest bonus ever.
No bonus, we got a $15 gift card for a turkey at Thanksgiving. We are in an outage so I have been working 6 days a week 12-13hrs shifts for a month and a half so, that is kind of a bonus. Christx is paid for.

I do get a bonus. It's probably going to be real good. We just finished a multi million dollar project so our company made some good money. But that could all change next year. The economy can greatly effect our business.
As to all those who lost their jobs, I'm real, real sorry. Honestly.
I will be going to our church to find a needy family this year and give some money to them. I also asked my two daughters to anonymously adopt a kid in their class to do something nice for. My father's overtime was just nixed. So he's losing a bunch of money. I'll be helping him and my mom out this year as well.
that's cool SS. :)
A lot of folks would just splurge and look out for #1.

$5.00 here and there shouldn't hurt my Guitar Hero fund. ;) j.k.
I hope I get my stipend back, otherwise I'm going to have to take a break from grad school to get a job. PAying out of pocket for tuition, medical insurance, and co-pays is too much without any income.
Tonight is the the night. We shall see. :D

I dunno if I get one but I could use that "2Gs in my khakhis"
Had a bonus when I worked with Mobil Chemical Plastics (hefty products) - when they were doing good, small bonus but something nonetheless - it increased by how long you were there. And after that - nada. But I haz a job and my boss is lovely, she gives me a $50 gift certificate to a LBS so I'm happy.
