A friend of mine has this mini-bike frame. He says he had it for at least 15 years, I believe he bought just the frame with a few parts. The labeling on the frame is "Montgomery Ward Mini-Bike 383". Also, the serial# o7x93774 and Model# GIL-43966A. We cannot recall Montgomery Wards ever selling Mini-bikes.
Please any and all info on the frame builder, type and size engine, or when built would be very helpful.
I think he also has the forks and believes there might have been shocks too. Thank all of you very any help you might have.

Gilson made minibikes for Montgomery ward in the 60's, hence the GIL-model number. you can find pics of MW and Gilson bikes on the internet, one place to look is minidoodle.com

i have what apparently was a model 323.

would love to see a photo of your friend's 383!

Dang it... I had a very good condition Mongomery Ward bike myself that I gave away when I moved. It was pink old-school fun with white tires. I miss that bike.

Same reason they refer to Target as "Tarjey".

And Sears as Sneers.

'cause it's fun.
