Gandhi had many habits that to some westerners seem peculiar. Two more well-known among them were walking barefoot and eating almost exclusively vegetables. Walking barefoot across India resulted in severe callouses on both feet. His meager diet left him very frail and gave him bad breath. So, one student simply described him as follows:
He was a super-calloused, fragile mystic, vexed by halitosis!

While true, that leaves a lot to be desired as punchlines go.

One of my favorite quotes is from Ghandi: "There is more to life than increasing it's speed"
But then, Ghandi never had to use dial-up internet service.

Ah yes. Good old broadband allows me to waste time much more efficiently.

But then, Ghandi never had to use dial-up internet service.
At an Internet cafe in Hobart a few months back I got stuck using a dial-up connection. Man, I couldn't believe how slow it felt! And to think there was a time when everyone was using the damn things!
HEY!!!! I have no choice. It is all I get. My only other alternative is satalite, which is very expensive.
Well, I have cable now, but this summer it is back to dial-up. I am sure glad will have better things to do than sit on a comp all day, looking at multiple forums.
And dial-up sucks. I hate it. And I am lucky to get 35k out of it. SOOOO SLOW!!!!

A few years ago, I was still using those 56kbps dial-ups.. my forum addiction started then. But I went to computer forums, sysopt.com, etc..., didn't discover bikeforums until last year.
Last year, I got a 512 kbps CIR 24kbps DSL connection.. very fast:) and expensive:( .
Now I have a 256 kbps CIR 24kbps Cable.. not as fast as my 512kbps, but less expensive. :)
