Triathlon - Quick 10 question survey for Aerobar users

I am currently involved in a school year long engineering project that involves cycling and the use of aerobars and I am curious about peoples biking experiences with them. Yes, this is market research for an engineering class project where me and a partner are developing safer ideas for aerobars

Seems pretty obvious that it has something to do with adding brakes to the aero bars. If done right, it could be a cool thing.

I don't think Aero bar brakes are a good idea.

* Center of mass is more foreward
* More importantly, the hand position on the bar is parallel to the direction of travel. When braking hard, alot of the braking force for your body goes through your hands. I could see hands sliding right off of the ends of the aero bars.

Think out of the box. What if they were just for bleeding a little speed rather than for hard stops? There are several things that could be done to make them useful and safe.
